eddie borgo
eddie borgo The Eddie Borgo collection is a study in traditions; American costume jewelry, the history of rock and roll, and the heritage of New York City. Eddie Borgo brings new energy and a modern point of view to these established themes, fusing high end and street in every piece he creates.

Designer Eddie Borgo studied art foundation at Virginia Commonwealth University and costume theory at the Art Institute of Atlanta. In 1998, he moved to New York City to continue his studies at Hunter College. Wile attending school, he worked at Barneys New York, and in the visual department at Donna Karan.

Strating in 2002, Eddie Borgo began to create one-of-a-kind pieces for stylists such as Tabitha Simmons, Camilla Nickerson, and Patti Wilson. In the summer of 2008, Eddie was asked to create the jewelry for Phillip Lim's SS09 shot, at which time he launched his namesake collection.

The Eddie Borgo collection debuted with SS09 at Barneys New York, Colette in Paris, Liberty of London and Joyce in Hong Kong. The collection is now sold at over 60 doors globally; including Scanlan and Theodore in Australia, Boutique 1 in Dubai, Luisa Via Roma in Florence, Corso Como in Milan, Boon The Shop in Seoul, Restir in Tokyo, Dover Street Market in London, Bon Marche in Paris, Freeshop in Greece, Lane Crawford in China, Bergdorf Goodman in New York, and at Neiman Marcus Stores throughout America. The collection is available exclusively online through Net-A-Porter.

In 2010 Eddie Borgo was awarded runner up in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and in June 2011, Eddie Borgo won the CFDA Swarovski Award for Accessory Design. Eddie Borgo has collaborated with designers including Marchesa, Proenza Schouler, Jason Wu, and Joseph Altuzarra.
