New York is a crazy busy, chic, eclectic and unbelievable city. I was fortunate enough to grow-up just 40 minutes outside of the city which granted me an all-access pass to explore, understand and appreciate NYC from a very young age. I learned lots of important "New York" things early on — like, for instance, SoHo meant "South of Houston" and Houston Street...

Well, I don't think it's a shock or a secret to say that we have picked a profession which puts some emphasis on physical appearance. And while working for a magazine or as a designer isn't as intimidating as modeling, the fashion industry regardless expects you not just to wear the clothes, but to wear them well, no matter your role.

My favorite thing about New York is that you never need to quite know where you're going in order to get somewhere. Just last night, my friends and I hopped on a random Subway line, hopped off at a random stop, and wound up in Little Italy at a romantically-lit restaurant twirling pasta round our forks.
