What is your favorite part of being a TEEN VOGUE intern?
My favorite part of being a TEEN VOGUE intern is seeing in real time the process, from initial conception to final execution, that goes into producing a monthly publication as unique and exceptional as TEEN VOGUE.

How did you land this internship?
I was a member of the Condé Nast Summer Internship program, where I worked with Events Director Lauren Eisner at W Magazine. When she relocated to TEEN VOGUE in August, I was lucky enough to follow her!

What advice would you give aspiring students on landing an internship?
Social networking is key! Although a little intimidating at first, putting yourself out there can lead to so many amazing opportunities. Make sure your resume is in good shape, and always include a detailed cover letter, letting your potential employer know that you’ve done your research and are passionate about landing the position.

What do you believe is the most important quality to possess in order to be a successful intern?
The most important quality for an intern to possess is determination. It’s a strong sense of determination for what you want to accomplish down the road that allows you to be patient with the less glamorous tasks, knowing that it’s a necessary part of the process.

How did your passion for fashion transpire?
Growing up alongside my grandmother who was an incredible seamstress initially sparked my passion for clothing. This passion transcended my middle and high school years, leading me to make the decision to attend FIT.

Who are your favorite designers?
Chloe, Celine, Chanel, Antonio Berardi, Calvin Klein, Isabel Marant and The Row are a few of my favorites.

What are your favorite sources for fashion inspiration?
NYC street style, fashion forecasting sites like WGSN and Style Sight, magazines such as TEEN VOGUE, British Vogue, French Vogue, and Jalouse, and social networking sites Who What Wear and Lookbook.nu.

What is your signature look?
My signature look is either all black or all white with a pop of color. For the colder days, it’s a black peplum blouse with a black skinny pant and pumps. When summer rolls in, it’s (again) a peplum blouse with a pencil skirt and open-toed pumps, now in all white.

What is your dream job?
To be a top Hollywood stylist, concentrating on celebrity clientele and Film/Television. That’s the goal.
