What is your favorite part of being a TEEN VOGUE intern?
Being an avid reader of TEEN VOGUE throughout middle school, the reality of having the opportunity to intern at such a prestigious magazine still gives me chills. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my experience at TEEN VOGUE has been nothing like Anne Hathaway’s character's experience in "The Devil Wears Prada" but an unbelievable learning experience embraced by such fabulously hard-working, sincere individuals.
How did you land this internship?
Social networking! The end of the summer going into my junior year of college, I contacted the people I knew would be able to share their expertise, advice, and connections within the industry. It quickly became a priority for me to reach out to as many people as possible because you never know what you may stumble upon! Always remember to stay confident and ambitious, as this part of the process can get pretty tricky!
What advice would you give aspiring students on landing an internship?
Always be one step ahead. Be willing to put in long hours, work diligently, and no matter how small the task, always put forth your absolute best effort, as you never know into whom you may run along the way! My best advice in this fast-paced industry is to be resourceful. Nothing came in handy more than my iPhone for directions, maps, and schedules.
What do you believe is the most important quality to possess in order to be a successful intern?
Pay full attention to your mentors. You are there to learn, so it is ok to ask questions, but keep in mind that there is always more than one way to solve a problem. The instruction that is given to you is given for a reason — and may only be said once! Therefore, I suggest always having your pen and notebook handy! Your dedication to hard work will pay off and will absolutely lead to success in the future.
How did your passion for fashion transpire?
Street style! I have the privilege of interning in NYC where some of the most fashionable men and women in the world are everywhere you turn. My obsession with following celebrity style icons such as Nicole Richie, Kourtney Kardashian, and Giuliana Rancic (my three faves!) via Twitter, gives me full access to their personal style blogs and fashionable twitpics. A lot of my inspiration stems from while I am shopping. Mix and matching clothes shown on the mannequins is a great way to be trendy while adding your own spin to it!
Who are your favorite designers?
My favorite designers are Tory Burch, J. Crew, Chloe and Ralph Lauren.

What is your signature look?
My style would be described as a preppy boho chic look. I love the simplicity and comfort of a denim jacket paired with a lightweight cable-knit sweater, put together with a pair of white linen pants, and polished with a jeweled statement necklace to complete a practical yet fashionable look. I typically dress for comfort so on the occasion that I get to dress up I love to go all out!
