Fashion has a new "It" girl and she's not even a model. Russian designer Kira Plastinina, just 16 years old, is watching her career thrive and she hasn't even begun high school yet. Instead of heading to swim practice, Kira visits her office after school as the chief designer of her namesake clothing line. As entrepreneur of her self-named company she approves sketches, chooses fabrics, and tweaks designs. In just two years, Kira has achieved recognition and success in Russia. And now East is meeting West: Kira has over 30 retail stores in Russia, with 16 more to be unveiled including U.S. outposts such as New York City. Funky and bright, her style mirrors her personality.
