It's true that great fashion design is an art. And fashion designer Peter Som, with a degree in Art History, should know. Som brings a fresh point of view to modern American fashion. Som took his sharp eye to Parsons School of Design in New York, later working with Michael Kors, Calvin Klein and Bill Blass. Som honed his skill debuting under the Bryant Park tents with his spring 2001 collection. In July 2007, he returned to Bill Blass as creative director where he currently oversees the licensed and unlicensed divisions of the women's collection. In his first collection for the brand, he plans to reinterpret the late Bass's tradition of Great American Sportswear for a new generation.
